NZFMA membership is institutionally based, and we provide a number of membership categories to cater for organisations that either directly trade in, or provide services to, the financial markets industry. View the list of current NZFMA members.
NZFMA members cover high volume and high value financial services in:
- Investment banking, including corporate advisory (mergers & acquisitions);
- Corporate banking, including transaction banking and lending;
- Capital raising via the equity and debt markets in New Zealand and overseas;
- Trading in financial instruments, including equities, bonds, foreign exchange, futures, financial derivatives, repurchase agreements and commodities;
- Trade finance;
- Custodial services;
- Funds management; and
- Private banking.
Participants in these markets include New Zealand and foreign banks and securities companies, traders in specialised financial services, government treasury corporations and large corporates. NZFMA membership also extends across government agencies and official regulators, market operators and regulators, and service providers to market participants.
Members have access to NZFMA’s certralised resource base via the “Members Area” of the NZFMA website, including self regulatory guidelines, documentation procedures and standards, NZFMA policy submissions, industry specific networking opportunities and regular newsletters.
Education and training opportunities specific to financial markets participants are available to NZFMA members at significantly reduced rates.
All membership applications must meet the required membership criteria, and are reviewed and approved by the NZFMA Board.
