NZFMA Chief Executive Appointment
NZFMA is pleased to announce the appointment of Donna Purdue as Chief Executive, effective 20 October 2025.
Bringing extensive experience in financial and economic leadership, Donna has most recently served as Chief Economist at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment. Her strategic insight, collaborative leadership style, and deep understanding of New Zealand’s economic landscape position her strongly to guide NZFMA into its next chapter.
This appointment is set to enhance NZFMA’s role in fostering a fair, efficient, and transparent financial markets environment.
Reflecting on her new role, Donna said, “NZFMA plays a vital role in supporting the integrity and effectiveness of New Zealand’s wholesale financial markets. I feel privileged to be joining the organisation at this time, and excited by the opportunity to work alongside our members and stakeholders. I’m looking forward to working together to navigate change, foster trust, and support a financial ecosystem that’s fit for the future.”
