Andrew Allan

Head of Markets New Zealand
ANZ

Andrew joined the Institutional New Zealand Leadership Team as Head of Global Markets, NZ in September 2008. This role encompasses interest rate, foreign exchange and commodity trading, management of the bank's liquidity portfolio, sales related services, origination, underwriting, structuring, risk management, advice and the sale of credit and derivative products globally.

Prior to this Andrew has held a variety of roles in ANZ's NZ Global Markets business including most recently Head of Interest Rate Trading.

Before joining the bank Andrew was a lecturer in Finance at Victoria University of Wellington.

Nigel Annett

General Manager Markets
ASB Bank

Nigel is currently General Manager Global Markets responsible for the sales and trading business at ASB across foreign exchange and interest rate products. Nigel joined ASB in January 2011 as Treasurer responsible for funding, liquidity, capital and asset and liability management. Prior to joining ASB, he spent 11 years at ANZ in Melbourne and Singapore in Treasury and Credit Portfolio Management roles.

Nigel holds a BCom (Hons) from Otago University and an MCom in economics.

Jun Banta

Head of NZ Balance Sheet Management
HSBC New Zealand

Jun is Head of Balance Sheet Management for HSBC New Zealand looking after the bank’s structural interest rate risk, funding, and liquidity. He first joined HSBC in 1996 as an Executive Trainee attending its one year management development course in the UK and had various retail and commercial banking postings at its Manila office, before moving to the Treasury and Global Markets team in 2004 as a money market trader. In 2008 he assumed the position of Head of Balance Sheet Management for HSBC Philippines, whilst from 2012 concurrently served as Treasurer of HSBC Savings Bank Philippines, Inc., a subsidiary entity. He also had brief stints in the dealing rooms of HSBC Pakistan and HSBC Nassau. In 2013, Jun became Head of Trust for HSBC Philippines responsible for its retail, corporate, and institutional trust and fiduciary businesses. Prior to his move to Aotearoa in 2017, he last served as acting Treasurer of HSBC’s subsidiary entity in Manila.

Jun holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Ateneo de Manila University in
the Philippines, where he majored in Management Engineering. He graduated with Distinction from the One-Year Trust Operations and Investment Management course of the Trust Institute Foundation of the Philippines (TIFP).


Matthew Collin

Head of Portfolio Management
NZ Debt Management Office

Matthew joined the Treasury in 2007 and has recently been appointed Head of Portfolio Management. He has significant experience in the management of foreign exchange and interest rate risk and is actively involved overseeing NZDMO's liquidity, market risk and funding portfolios. Matthew holds a Master of Commerce degree from the University of Auckland where he studied Finance and Economics.



Paul Duncan

NZ Country Treasurer and Head of Markets

Paul Duncan is currently the New Zealand Country Treasurer and Markets Head for Citigroup New Zealand.

Paul joined Citi in 1987 and since then has performed a number of roles within the company including Country Treasurer and Risk Treasury Head for Australia and New Zealand. Prior to joining Citi, Paul worked in the London financial markets for 12 years in various roles, including foreign exchange, interest rates, bonds and derivatives markets.

Nigel Gaudin

Head of Financial Markets

Nigel is Head of Financial Markets for Kiwibank. In this role, Nigel has responsibility for Kiwibank's Sales and Trading activities including wholesale deposits, fixed interest, credit, foreign exchange and OTC derivatives.

Nigel has worked in the financial markets for 20 years. Prior to joining Kiwibank in 2009 as Deputy Treasurer, he held numerous markets roles with The National Bank and ANZ covering foreign exchange, interest rates, derivatives, institutional funding and liquidity management.

Nigel is a Certified Treasury Professional, a member of the Institute of Finance Professionals NZ Inc, and a member of the NZFMA Board.


Graeme Liddell

Head of Markets
Bank of New Zealand

Graeme is Head of Wholesale Banking for Bank of New Zealand responsible for the overall markets business (sales, trading and research) as well as the associated support lines. Graeme has worked in Global Markets for over 25 years both in New Zealand and overseas. He started with BNZ on 25 March 1985 in interest rate trading before moving on to lead the Australian sales and trading foreign exchange business for National Australia Bank. He returned to New Zealand in 2005 to head-up BNZ Markets and his role expanded to include all of Wholesale Banking as part of the BNZ Partners integration in 2009.

Within the industry, Graeme has held a number of roles with the NZ Financial Markets Association (NZFMA) including Treasurer and Chairman. He holds a BCom from Otago University, and is a member of the NZFMA Board, the Tennis Central Board and INFINZ.

Paul Mowbray - Chairman

Westpac Institutional Bank

Paul heads the Financial Markets team at Westpac Institutional Bank in New Zealand that encompasses sales, trading and origination in the financial markets, providing solutions for customers in foreign exchange, debt and derivatives, carbon and commodities and international trade.

From 2009-2012 Paul was head of Portfolio Completion (Treasury) at the New Zealand Super Fund where he was also appointed as a member of the Fund's Investment Committee.

Prior to this he spent over 10 years in Debt Capital Markets at Deutsche Bank, from '93-'98 in Derivatives at Bankers Trust and from '87-'92 in the Rural Bank Treasury.

Paul has a degree from Victoria University of Wellington in Economics and Accounting and is currently a Director on the Board of NZFMA and INFINZ.

Mark Perry

Head of Financial Markets
Reserve Bank of New Zealand

Mark Perry joined the Reserve Bank as Head of Financial Markets in September 2012.

With a strong background in financial markets, Mark has spent more than 20 years in senior roles in New Zealand, Australia and the UK. This included a 15 year career with the BNZ, including five years as its Head of Financial Markets.

Mark holds a commerce degree from Victoria University and has completed post-graduate study in psychology.
