Voluntary Five Star Rating of Financial Intermediary Members

NZFMA Financial Intermediary members are made up of organisations that provide financial intermediary services, or broking, to the wholesale and/or retail sector. The financial products they sell are wide and varied, and include FX Spot and Forward transactions, CFDs (Contracts for Difference), Margin FX, Futures, and Equity Options.

To be elible to apply for Financial Intermediary membership of NZFMA, organisations must be Authorised Futures Dealers in New Zealand as defined by the Securities Act 1988, must be registered with the NZ Companies Office, and conduct their business from premises based in New Zealand.  A list of all NZFMA  members, including Financial Intermediary members, appears on this page:   List of NZFMA Members.

In addition to the above required standards for NZFMA membership, the NZFMA Financial Intermediary members appearing below also meet the following Voluntary Standards:

The Company retains a minimum liquidity base of NZ$1,000,000.

The Company holds comprehensive professional indemnity insurance cover.

The Company's annual accounts are audited by qualified and reputable independent auditors.

The Company has in place internal compliance policies for the protection of the client, including Know your Client, comprehensive client agreements, and an independent dispute resolution process available to clients.

The Company's management staff have significant market experience and knowledge, and have completed the educational requirements for NZFMA Accreditation or are enrolled in the required educational courses.
