Industry Accreditation is considered vital to the well being of the NZ Financial markets for the following reasons;

• It provides guidelines and benchmarks to assist industry groups to ensure their practitioners meet the required standards of performance
• It is an important component of self-regulation and encourages high standards of practice within the industry
• It is a strong force in increasing the industry’s credibility, both domestically and internationally 
• It provides assurance to regulators that the industry operates with high standards and that it fosters a disciplined, risk aware and knowledgeable industry
