Governance Structure

The New Zealand Financial Markets Association is a not-for-profit Incorporated Society, registered under the Incorporated Societies Act of 1908. The operation of the Association is governed by its Constitution which was created by the inaugural members in 2007. The Constitution outlines the rules by which the Association operates.

Overall governance is the reponsibility of the Board of Directors elected by its Financial Markets Members. The Board is responsible for industry leadership, strategic policy issues, promoting the reputation of wholesale banking and financial markets and management of the Association’s affairs.

A key feature of the operation of the Association is its desire for transparency and openness in its dealings with members and the public in general.
